We built this tool to help federal employees, not to collect or sell your data. Here's exactly what we collect and why.

What we collect

We don't collect payment information, social security numbers, or any sensitive government credentials.

To calculate your travel comp time and fill out the DS-5106 PDF
To save your profile so you don't have to re-enter it every trip (accounts only)
To send transactional emails — password resets and form receipts if you request them
To understand which parts of the site get used so we can improve it (Google Analytics)

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising.

We use a small number of trusted services to run this site. Each one handles data per their own privacy policy.

We use three types of cookies:

Session cookie — keeps you logged in during your visit
CSRF cookie — protects against form submission attacks (required for security)
Google Analytics cookies — track page views. You can opt out with a browser extension or Google's opt-out add-on.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

You control your data:

Access — log into your account to see what we have
Update — edit your profile anytime from account settings
Delete — delete your account from account settings to permanently remove your profile and saved form data

We use standard web security practices: HTTPS on all pages, encrypted database connections, and hashed passwords. We don't store your raw password.

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please email us at support@travelcomptime.com.

If we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on this page. Check the effective date at the top to know when it was last updated.
